One Passage a Day, Read Slowly
Conversation is wonderful for exploration, but some things only open up when you return to them. Practice is the part of Plurilore built for returning.
Each day, every tradition gets one passage — a real text with a real citation, the same one for everyone reading that tradition that day. A few sentences set it in context, and then a single open question is put to you. Not a quiz with a right answer: a question you can only answer from your own life. What you write in response is saved on your device and never sent to our servers.
If you want help interpreting the passage, open Discuss this passage. It starts closed and shares only the public passage, reference, framing, and reflection prompt with Chat — never the private reflection you wrote. The current tradition costs 1 credit with a standard agent. Compare mode requires at least two traditions and shows the exact total before you send; Pro agents cost 3 credits per selected tradition.
Deliberate reading continues in the canonical Library reader. Practice mode adds a bookmark, one private page reflection, and an explicit progress action without putting AI controls beside every passage.
What builds up
Everything you sit with lights part of the Atlas — the map of concepts running underneath all fourteen traditions. Over time you can see the shape of where you have actually been, and which regions are still dark.
Sometimes that map notices something you did not: you have been sitting with a concept in two traditions that the map connects. When that happens a Thread appears. Exploring it opens a reviewed draft in full Chat with exactly those two traditions selected; it never sends or spends credits automatically.
You also set your own Rule — how often you want to sit and how much of one committed work you want to read. The week is the unit, not the day, and rest is part of the rule rather than a failure of it. Nothing resets to zero, nothing is lost, and there is no number you can break. Keeping your rule earns Marks, which are worth real credits.
Think of it as the difference between wandering through a library and keeping a practice in one. Both have their place. When you want open exploration, talk to the agents. When you want something to return to, Practice is waiting with today's passage.
