Why we built Plurilore

Most people who read across traditions run into the same wall. The texts are available, but they are scattered, unevenly indexed, and almost impossible to compare without either flattening the differences or losing the thread entirely. Keyword search does not help much — the words that matter rarely match. Ask a general-purpose chatbot instead and you get fluent answers with no way to check whether the passage it paraphrased exists.

Plurilore was built for the space between those two failures. It brings more than 194,000 passages from fourteen traditions into a single workspace where you can search by meaning, ask questions in plain language, and follow every claim back to the passage it came from. The Atlas maps how ideas connect across traditions, including where they genuinely disagree.

What it will not do

Plurilore is a study aid, not a spiritual authority. It is not a guru, pastor, imam, priest, monk, therapist or counsellor, and it is not a substitute for reading the source texts, for your own community, or for people qualified to give pastoral, medical, legal or mental-health advice. Ask it for personal religious rulings or individualised life guidance and it will decline and point you back to the texts.

It is also not a general chatbot. Answers come from a curated corpus rather than the open internet, and where the retrieved passages do not contain an answer, it says so instead of inventing one. That constraint is the product.

How your data is treated

Chat sessions are processed transiently rather than kept as server-side history, and your notes and private reflections stay on your own device. What people read and reflect on is among the most sensitive data there is, so the default is to not collect it. The privacy policy sets out the specifics.
