Agent Overview

A Plurilore agent is a tradition-specific retrieval target, not a simulated religious leader. Choosing an agent determines which indexed corpus is searched before an answer is generated. This separation keeps the source boundary visible and makes comparative queries possible without pretending that all traditions use the same vocabulary or interpretive framework.

Available agents

Plurilore includes Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Shinto, Confucianism, Taoism, Bahai, Jainism, Judaism, Sikhism, Spiritism, Voodoo, and Yoruba.

The scope differs by agent. Christianity includes the King James Bible and selected Catholic and Orthodox deuterocanonical books. Islam includes the Quran and a Hadith collection. Buddhism uses early discourses from SuttaCentral. Several other agents currently rely on one public-domain edition or a compact group of historical source texts. Single-tradition and comparative questions

Select one agent when a question should stay inside a single corpus. Select several when the question explicitly compares texts or concepts. Each selected tradition retrieves independently, and Chat shows the total credit cost before sending.

Useful tasks include locating a passage, explaining a term as it appears in the available texts, tracing a theme across documents, and comparing how two corpora frame a question. The agents cannot establish a definitive religious ruling, supply missing denominational commentary, or represent lived practice beyond their sources.
